Serviceable NLG to sell with a FORM1

Hi,

Due to Airworthiness Directive CF-2023-50R1, issued in December 2023, requiring an inspection of the nose landing gear strut and a change by July 2025 at the latest, I carried out this change on my personal aircraft (F-GNJX).

During installation by my mechanic, we realized that my aircraft already had the latest version of the landing gear strut (and therefore compatible with this AD).

So I sent the NLG for non-destructive testing using eddy current. There are no cracks, fissures or signs of fatigue.

I'm selling it at a good price because I don't know what to do with it. It has a FORM1 issued by the certified shop that carried out the inspection, and is available immediately.
The strut version is D41-3223-10-00_2, note that this version does not have the holes for fairing mounting.

Contact me if you're interested in one of your DA40s.

Aeronautically.

P.S: I can ship it in any country.

Curious, why did your plane have it replaced already? Clearly a 2001 DA40 would not have the _2 part as the original install.

Hi Steve,

When I bought my DA40 the NLG has already been changed in 2012 or 2013.
In the ton of paper that I had with the plane, I saw the invoice that stated that the part D41-3223-10-00_1 has been installed (this is why I decided to change it), but when my IA removed it from the plane he has been able to identify that it is a D41-3223-10-00_2 (by measuring the thickness through a hole).
I checked again the invoice from 2012 AND also the FORM1 from 2012, and I discovered that the FORM1 says that it is a D41-3223-10-00_2.

To make a long story short: I changed it for nothing…

This is why I decided to spend a few hundred more euros to make it checked with Eddy current to have a certificat of conformity and being able to sell it second hand in the safest condition for both the buyer and I.

Arnaud.

JOOC, what was the cost of the part? Our show DOD NOT mention this at all to us at our annual in feb. So now I am trying to digure out what to budget for the next annual to get this swapped from our -1 to the -2/-3 part.
