DA62 New Order and Y1 AOG Issue tracking workbook
The spreadsheet that Russ built for tracking new purchases has been expanded to include a sheet for tracking issues leading to a lengthy AOG experience during the first year of ownership.
If multiple issues caused the AOG, please separate the issues and take you best guess as to how long each issue contributed to the AOG.
The data can be filtered using the arrows in the upper right corner of each column heading. Please clear your filters before leaving the workbook.
You do not need to "save" any changes you make, they are automatically saved once you enter information into a cell and move to a new cell. Simply close the window or return to DAN when you are done.

Re: DA62 New Order and Y1 AOG Issue tracking workbook
Thank you Curtis. I'll make entries for my first year within the next few days.
I was thinking further about this and realized the issues I would post are of course also recorded in my maintenance logbooks, so there is nothing that would not otherwise be visible to a potential buyer in the future.

I don't see any new airplane orders since 2022...

Re: DA62 New Order and Y1 AOG Issue tracking workbook
I updated the first year AOG sheet with the issues from my plane. A total of 70 days AOG in the first year.

That is a lot.Boatguy wrote: Fri Jul 05, 2024 10:35 pm I updated the first year AOG sheet with the issues from my plane. A total of 70 days AOG in the first year.
For our plane it is 34.The number is lower because we are close to a service center and to the factory where I go and wait for the fixes to be done and then return.
As another statistics, after 6 months of ownership, 25% of the flights and flight time was for going for service. Since then, as we resolved factory issues, the percentage is much better.
I must recognize the good service we get from our service center.

Would a master AOG thread be in order?
I'd be curious to see what the common threads are. A simple ripped turbo discharge hose stung us pretty badly last year.

I think that's the point of the AOG tab in the above referenced worksheet. Thus far I am the only one who has contributed so I don't think there is much interest in sharing problems.neema wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2024 6:31 pm Would a master AOG thread be in order?

I should have elaborated a bit more--AOG incidents for planes beyond Y1. Maybe it should be a forum-based parts failure spreadsheet.Boatguy wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2024 7:23 pmI think that's the point of the AOG tab in the above referenced worksheet. AOG is one part of it, but knowing what parts most commonly fail would be great to know.
Diamond sits on all that info. If only they'd share.

Re: DA62 New Order and Y1 AOG Issue tracking workbook
Nobody else is using the sheet, it can certainly be repurposed to be general service issues.
To my knowledge the forum s/w doesn't support spreadsheets, a shared spreadsheet per the link at the top of this thread is the best we can do. You could ask Chris to pin the thread.
You might also prefer a Google doc to MS. I'd certainly have no objection to you extracting that tab, hosting it separately and using it to track service issues, specific parts, etc. If it caught on, somebody would probably jump in to create more tabs with some statistical analysis, etc.
I don't believe Diamond/Austro will ever share anything so a "crowd sourced" database is the next best way to get a handle on what's breaking.
