DA62 seat comfort
The DA62 seats are not comfortable. Both the front and back are very firm. The front seat backs recline, which helps. And sheepskin covers provide a little more cushion.
The rear seats are very firm, positioned to fold the passenger's body into lazy Z to conserve space, and the backs do not decline. My passengers have not been happy.
I saw a post that referred to a Diamond cushion for the back seats, but it is from a European company that sells airline seating (i.e., by the tens of thousands) and I could not find any source to sell a couple of cushions.
So... Has anyone found a way to make the back seats comfortable for a 3-4hr flight?

I love the front seats. I just wish it had more leg room, because I’m tall.
The rear seats, OMG. That angle is just atrocious. WTF were they thinking? The Cirrus is far far more comfortable in the back.

Re: DA62 seat comfort
I appreciate you both speaking up on this. I'm shortly about to place a DA62 order with Diamond in Austria and have now decided to go with the business seat option for the second row. We're planning on using our 62 across Europe and down into East Africa and couldn't stand that any 2nd row passengers were having to endure a sub-par seat experience.

Re: DA62 seat comfort
Can you actually purchase the business seat configuration? It isn't in the 2025 price list.

Re: DA62 seat comfort
Interesting - although nothing surprises me with Diamond.
I was going by their 2023 Exterior & Interior Brochure (pages, 33, 39 & 40 which clearly shows or mentions the business seat option).
No doubt I'm going to find out shortly....

Can you send me the 2025 price list? I haven't been able to find it.

Re: DA62 seat comfort
I have ordered front seat memory foam cushions from Oregon Aero for my DA40, SR22 and DA42. Turns the hard Diamond seats into a comfortable all day cross country ride. I don't see any back seat options on their website but they did do custom modifications for me once.
Might be worth a call.

Very effective seat cushion for $49.99 (yes, I'm cheap/frugal)...

Re: DA62 seat comfort
My wife has used that for the last 4+ yrs, but said it did not help much in the back seat last week.waynemcc999 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 9:24 pm Very effective seat cushion for $49.99 (yes, I'm cheap/frugal)...

Re: DA62 seat comfort
+1 at least for my DA42, these are the difference between a sore ass after 30 minutes, and doing 9 hour legs with no sweat. Worth every penny, definitely get the lumbar support.Soareyes wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 5:40 pm I have ordered front seat memory foam cushions from Oregon Aero for my DA40, SR22 and DA42.
