What came with your plane
Taking delivery of DA62 next month from Canada.
Could you guys tell me what was included with your plane, specifically:
1. How many Bose headsets (Lemo ?)
2. Tow bar, funnels for oil etc
3. Anything else that came with your plane.
Many Thanks
Jim

Re: What came with your plane
Jim:
Congrats; sounds like the wait for your new DA62 is almost over.
It's a pretty extensive list, so Diamond Canada uses a checklist that varies based upon which options are installed (e.g, DA62s/DA42s with built-in O2 come with cannulas and a single mask).
Furthermore your Diamond distributor salesperson or ferry pilot taking delivery should use their own checklist to make sure that all items are onboard before your plane leaves the London factory, and again when the plane is delivered to the customer. (I've personally performed this check many times when picking up and delivering new aircraft from the Diamond factory.)

Re: What came with your plane
- a very small tool kit with some fasteners
- a couple of Diamond pillows that are also blankets
- fuel cap covers for if the plane is left outside in the rain. Suggestion - don't allow the black sides to touch each other.
- "tow" bar which is really a steering bar while two other people are pushing/pulling the plane.
- a very funky paper "funnel" that should be discarded immediately. I bought a spout on Aircraft Spruce that attaches to the oil bottle and is long enough to be held upside down.
- a nightmarish cargo net which requires some customization to be used by anyone but the most patient
- a very cheap pitot cover that will instantly melt the first time you turn on the pitot heat while the cover it still on (pre-flight...). I special ordered a kevlar lined pitot cover from Bruce's Covers
- Bose headsets seems to be a European thing
- A nice briefcase stuffed full of manuals. Buried in there are:
-- some Garmin packages, one of which contains the Supplemental Data SD card that is useful for transferring nav databases to the panel.
-- the Allen wrench needed to adjust the sun shades (they will need adjustment)
-- the AFM (I downloaded the generic AFM, scanned the aircraft specific pages and used Acrobat to assemble a complete digital AFM)
- two different fuel sampling devices
- the absurdly difficult to use and impossible to store, but mandatory, "alternative fuel measuring device"
- a whole box of cannulas if you ordered the O2 bottle. I immediately added a Mtn. High O2D2 regulator - see separate thread
- full fuel tanks
- full TKS tank (which tips the W&B forward quite a bit)
- full O2 tank

Re: What came with your plane
To add a few more items to Russ' list:
- Garmin software unlock SDcards to enable features like SVT (optional), and ESP/coupled go-around
- Other manuals including the G1000 NXi Pilots Guide (the big one to take home), and G1000 NXi Cockpit Reference Guide (the smaller one to be carried in the cockpit)
- Gust lock
- Airworthiness Certificate and temporary FAA registration
- iPad holder/RAM mount (optional if you ordered the optional A-pillar mounts)
- First aid kit
- Multiple duplicate keys (door and fuel) -- there is no "ignition" (starter) key since the DA62 has push-button starting, with serial numbers recorded.
- Recorded G1000 NXi System ID
- Recorded (optional) SiriusXM weather/radio ID and operational status check
- Diamond's pilot checklist for DA62 preflight and operation

Re: What came with your plane
The Bose headsets are an item you can order... I got two. But of course, they are A20s not A30s. Will check out the A30 at OSH and see what I think. And as noted, a remarkable excess of keys ... the hardest thing for me is remembering which of the 3 keys fits what lock!
I forgot to renew my trial XM subscription (it's only 90 days I think) so found myself using ADSB on my iPad (via my Sentry) on a particularly stormy day - lesson learned there... don't forget to renew it! Super easy as you probably know.
Otherwise, I can't think of anything not mentioned above. You're going to love your plane!
Cheers

Re: What came with your plane
I disliked having the keys for the cockpit different from the keys for the fuel doors on our DA42. I can't remember the price, but it was a little stupid to do, but now they are all keyed the same. So I just have a baggage door key (which I like having separate because you can keep that key off the FBO set if you want), an ignition key, and a door/fuel door key.

Re: What came with your plane
Unless the marketing literature has changed, when I ordered my 62 back in September of 2021, it states on one of the final pages that the airplane comes with 2 Bose A20 LEMO headsets.

Re: What came with your plane
They still show it as included. It was called out as included on my contract. Now they're showing them as A30's.

Re: What came with your plane
My DA62 (N-registered, Canadian-built, ordered Jan 2021, delivered May 2022) did not come with any headsets.
