Walk me through the steps needed to get experimental category. I think there are restricted type experimental categories available, such as the DA40 supercharger. But I believe these are temporary while you prove out your STC. I do also see mention online about people trying to move type certificated aircraft into experimental exhibition class. Wondering if your tire example would be enough change. It looks like you just need to convince (file paperwork) with your local FSDO.
