Re: Mountain High for Built-In Oxygen System
I think that's for the 4-seater DA42. The tank for the DA62 is larger with 77 cubic feet.

Re: Mountain High for Built-In Oxygen System
Computed from the O2D2 manual, consumption at 15,000' is 1.2 cu ft / person / hr. So...
42 built in: 50 cu ft / 1.2 = 41 person hours
62 built in: 77 cu ft / 1.2 = 62 person hours
10,000': Consumption is about half
18,000': Consumption is about 30% greater
Further calculations are left as an exercise for the reader!

I've also become a huge fan of the MH O2D2 system. It came with my 2018 DA42 (which does not have installed O2). I usually strap the O2 cylinder to the back to the passenger seat. The O2D2 is attached by velcro underneath the instrument panel. I've found this to be a convenient location.

That is exactly where I have mine mounted. Thanks for posting a photo.

Re: Mountain High for Built-In Oxygen System
I have a 50 cu ft MH tank strapped into a fiberglass cradle mounted in the nose compartment. This is the same cradle used for the factory installation using the Aerox tank. The MH regulator has two feed nozzles so I have two lines leading to two controllers, one mounted next to the left seat and one next to the right seat. The system works fine.

If you have an opportunity, photos would be useful.NickBudd wrote: ↑Mon Jan 03, 2022 2:10 pm I have a 50 cu ft MH tank strapped into a fiberglass cradle mounted in the nose compartment.
