Re: Factory warranty
Based on recent discussions with Premier, no extended warranty is available for the 62. There is some discussion in Austria about whether to offer a 1-year warranty extension for a price but I have no details and have not heard anything further about it. Cirrus offers the ability to purchase a 3-year extended warranty (up to a total of 5 years) but Diamond has not shown any recent interest in doing that from what I can tell.

Re: Factory warranty
Diamond has really good records for what it costs to maintain their planes and what sort of expensive SB's and the like show up. It's interesting that on a DA62, which I would expect to be a customer fairly used to expensive maintenance assets, does not provide a market for a program to maintain the aircraft.
But it is also a business that they are not really in, and it is basically an insurance business.

Re: Factory warranty
Obviously $1.5M is not enough to buy you 3-year warranty while you get 3 to 5 years for a car which costs 1/50 of that price.
