Exciting trip! When I flew around the world in my DA42, I routed via Europe to South Africa via east Africa. How are you planning on routing, now that Sudan is closed?RookieFlyer wrote: ↑Thu Aug 31, 2023 7:11 am We're planning on using our 62 across Europe and down into East Africa and couldn't stand that any 2nd row passengers were having to endure a sub-par seat experience.

Not too concerned at this stage - given the current lead times for Diamond delivering a 62 ex-factory, the geopolitical situation in Sudan will have hopefully improved by the time we get ours. I think Addis Abba (HAAB) and Dire Dawa (HDAR) are currently the only choices for customs entry into Ethiopia, so we'll consider all options as needed.
What routing did you take down to South Africa?
