Diamond on order
Either maliciously or inadvertently the DA62 Owner's spreadsheet has once been deleted and most recently was renamed. Since it has been expanded to include all Diamonds on order, I have renamed the file to "Diamond on order". This is the new link.

Re: Diamond on order
My delivery 62.226 is looking good for 16 Feb 2023. The ferry flight from Weiner Neustadt to Queenstown New Zealand will be over 17,890km, perhaps one of the longest ever?

Re: Diamond on order
My serial 220 got tied up in Ontario due to IFR conditions not permitting the predelivery flights and a persistent low-grade squawk. But I expect to see it within a week. So I agree the timing on the delivery of 226 should be about right. And yep that's a heck of a ferry!! Good luck!!

Wow, that's quite a ferry flight! We'll be in Central Otago the week after Easter; perhaps you'd be willing to show off your new 62 to a fellow DA62 owner?

Re: Diamond on order
Is the order book drying up? There are no entries in the Diamond on Order spreadsheet with contract dates after July 2022...

Re: Diamond on order
I'm likely putting my deposit down for a 62 in April. We all know it's an amazing machine, just hoping the Austro & Garmin shenanigans are behind us by the time I take delivery in ?25/26?

Re: Diamond on order
62.C053 delivered on March 7 and 62.C055 is expected the first week of May. That schedule implies that Diamond Canada is now producing just one DA62 per month.

Re: Diamond on order
I just got my serial number for my DA40NG for July delivery and updated the spreadsheet. Also counted about five other DA40s for July delivery (Canada), 1 delivered this week, and one coming up in April -- these are all based on conversations with others at MyFlight in Florida. So hopefully the pipeline is moving....

Re: Diamond on order
Upon further research, it seems that DAI is prioritizing MPP production (higher price and margins) over production for private owners which explains the irregular production and delivery of planes for private pilots. The inference is that MPP planes get priority, and private owners slip as needed based on the backlog of MPP orders. Thus I should have posted:
"That schedule implies that Diamond Canada is now producing just one DA62 for private owners, per month."
Of course this only affects DA42's and 62's.

Re: Diamond on order
I know of one small MPP order (three planes, I think was the number), it was for multiple aircraft. Part of the acceptance criteria was all three planes to be delivered within two weeks (I think) of the first to last. This was due to the testing requirements for the sensor platform which was to be installed; it was apparently much more expensive to install and test sequentially then do it in parallel.
If they get many orders like this, they will not want to spread them out, instead from a cash management perspective they will want to bunch them up.
BWTDIK?
