Training schools in UK with diamond fleet

Post by KJH »

Hi,

Many years ago I was midway through my ATPL training when I lost my medical. I can now get a medical under recent (2017-ish) CAA rules and intend to start flying again, I specifically need a fresher and then a SEP skills test, followed by the same and either a modular or competency base ME-IR.

I'm hoping to fly in a DA-42 or 62 so would like to train with a school that has a Diamond fleet. Does anyone know which schools in the UK have such a fleet? I hope to have finished all the theory exams needed by December 2022, and start getting back to flying early 2023.

Thanks

Where in the UK do you live?

There is a school called SEMET Aviation at EGLK (Blackbushe, SW of London) which I like a lot and where my daughter is now doing her PPL. They have a fleet of DA40s and DA42s and the school was opened by BA pilots.

I'm based outside the UK, but my medical means I need CAA or FAA registered aircraft and licenses. I'm often in London, the Cotswolds and Birmingham.

I''ll take a look at SEMET.

Thanks

Booker Airfield (Wycombe Air Park) EGTB offers DA42 training. The DA42 is based there.

Hope this helps.
