FWIW, our 5 pages of options didn't have anything there. Having the shop look for it and hoping it's not a witch hunt

Shop looked into it and spoke with Diamond. No fix for now.

Did you ever get this resolved Neema? I have a new 62 that arrived last month and it is just the same. Very annoying when passengers 1. Want to listen to ATC and 2. Don’t know that I am and so keep chatting.

Re: GMA 1360/G1000 NXi: Passengers can't hear com radio
I'm sorry that you're having trouble fixing this.
As described in this thread from back in 2021: viewtopic.php?p=83368#p83368
1. Boot the G1000 NXi in Configuration Mode.
2. Select the GMA audio panel "page group" at the bottom of the page
3. Scroll through the GMA audio panel options page and look for:
"While passenger in ICS, route selected COM audio to passenger"
Change OFF to ON
Using the softkeys at the bottom hit SET>Active so that both columns show ON.
Optional: While you're in there, you might as well also change the OFF parameters to ON for the two other options descriptions where it says "Always enable 3D audio for pilot" (and co-pilot).
4. Go back to your original Configuration Mode "home page" and confirm your new configuration by hitting the softkey that says CFRM CFG. (If you skip this you may get an error message when back in normal G1000 NXi user mode.)
5. Recycle the power on the G1000 and you should be back to normal user mode operation.
Besides my own DA62 that was upgraded to NXi Phase II hardware/software, I've delivered multiple new DA62s to customers with the GMA 1360 audio panel (NXI Phase II), and with the new owner's permission I was able to perform this every time.

Add step 1.5: Turn on AV master.
The GMA audio panel must be powered.
I've also disabled all the MUTEs for the bluetooth and XM audio. As it comes configured, the audio panel will mute bluetooth audio on any COM reception. That drove me nuts. I like to listen to background music.

Important point -- and also that the aircraft needs to be connected to a 28V GPU to not run down the battery while configuring the panel.

All of the instructions on modifying the configs for G1000 start off by saying:
1. Boot the G1000 NXi in Configuration Mode.
How do you do this?

Hold ENT on the PFD, then turn on the master switch. Once it starts, turn on AV master.

Fantastic… thanks for the guidance there guys. I don’t have access to a GPU but will ask the maintenance team to look at it next time it is in there.

This should only take a few minutes, so no harm doing it in the battery, especially after a flight, when it's fully charged.
