200 Knot (GS) Club
Finally, got my 2003 DA40 over 200kt, at least over the ground, on a recent Angel Flight. 50kt+ tailwind at 9000 using WOT/2450 rpm and 10.5gph.

Re: 200 Knot (GS) Club
congrats. based on the EGT show you are flying super rich, btw.
I'm hoping to join the 300 knt some day in the flight levels in my "new" Columbia 400. I think I got up to only 180 or so in my 2002 DA 40.

835nm. I currently show a 35kt tailwind at 15,500 and a 53 gallon fuel burn. Seems possible to luck out, run lean of peak, and make it just fine. There are a bunch of options if you are stopping short of the goal.

Re: 200 Knot (GS) Club
I finally got the flight uploaded to the reports section. The file was too large to upload. The G1000 data saved every second so I just removed every other row from the data to get a 2 second spread. I flew most of the flight IFR as MFR was 200 1/2 when took off. The cloud deck only lasted 1000' feet then I was in the clear the rest of the flight. I took off a few hours prior to the PA32 that crashed right after takeoff on 12/5.
I have 50 gallon tanks and I flew LOP. The GPH were in the mid to high 6's.
The tailwinds were great but once I was East of SLC there were 4 times I had to tun off the autopilot and quickly lower the nose or the autopilot would have stalled the plane. The wave action was very strong and I had to get a block altitude 130-150. Each down wave took 500-800 feet of altitude to maintain flying speed.
