Anybody had the red button on the seatbelt receiver break? Mine broke but it's along a section that does not affect functionality. Would like to get it replaced, however, Diamond repair shop says the only part they can get is the full assembly which is like $1k.
Anybody know if possible to just get a replacement button? Or new receiver? I don't want to replace a perfectly good seatbelt.

Re: Seatbelt Button Cracked, Replacement Part
I bought some seatbelt extension sockets a few years ago from Amazon to make it easier to insert the belt tongue into the buckle. The receiver portion is exactly the same as the receiver in my airplane. You might be able to transplant some parts from something like this...

Could you link the receiver you purchased? Will get one and see how easy it is to swap the button.Steve wrote: ↑Wed Sep 08, 2021 7:09 pm I bought some seatbelt extension sockets a few years ago from Amazon to make it easier to insert the belt tongue into the buckle. FYI: If you get one of these that fits your car it will prevent the alarm from sounding if you drive without your seat belt latched. Not that I would ever do that.

Re: Seatbelt Button Cracked, Replacement Part
Having this same cracked seat belt button issue I just purchased a set of two of these exact extenders last week. They work perfectly, make it easier to get buckled in, and actually match the factory buckle perfectly. Sharing because some of the buckles out there are different and would not be compatible.

So is the button swappable with the OEM? Or you just plug in the extender all the time?Roxi5m9 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 24, 2021 6:25 am Having this same cracked seat belt button issue I just purchased a set of two of these exact extenders last week.
