I read the entire AD and there is no mention of my year/model 2005/DA40-180 and since I have not replaced my hoses I consider this unrelated to my plane. But in the interest of safety, I will inspect my hoses more carefully.

With this being an AD I'll be making an entry in the airframe log to the effect it doesn't apply due to "<to be determined>". This to deal with any possible future pre-buy inspections (from my estate :D) or some other similar situation that might cause it to arise. This is what I and several others have done with this very common occurrence.

anyone called Diamond to determine what serial numbers are affected? we are NG035, purchased after February 19 but wonder if hoses and rank where done within that time frame.

There is a separate MSB for the NG that lists the serial numbers.

I looked into this in 2019 for my 2003 DA40 when this was a MSB and posted at that time. My interconnect hoses were replaced in 2018 by the previous owners. The new AD caught my attention so I looked into it again. My logbook entry wasn't enough to tell me whether on not I had the affected interconnect hoses. I contacted Diamond last year with the part number, 15300-MOD, and they said that part number wasn't part of the MSB, but suggested a boroscope exam "as a precaution." I had that done with the logbook entry stating, "checks good", and thought I was done. It turns out that the problem interconnect hoses have to be identified by the Diamond invoice date and number from when they were shipped. I was able to get that information today from the shop that did the work and was relieved to find out that the parts used were not subject to the AD. I'll put the invoice in my logbook and ask my mechanic to make an entry that the AD does not apply. That should take care of it.
