Dynon Avionics - seeking an alternative to Garmin
As mentioned in thread related to autopilots and in discussions related to legacy G1000, there's possibility to have solution which is alternative to Garmin both for cockpit instruments and autopilot. This solution could be applicable to D40, D40 TDI and DA42 TDI, for the aircrafts equipped with legacy G1000 avionics and KAP140 autopilot but also for the DA40 equipped with analog instruments. As Dynon offered to analize the possibility of certifying their solution if there's an interest among the owners, we have to send them a list showing the potential for selling their product. At this moment it's not any kind of binding commitment and no deposit is required but we have to be aware that they won't start any analysis or certification process if they don't see market potential.
I'm not sure if everybody is OK with posting their data publicly, so it's up to you to list yourself within this thread or to PM me your data.
At the moment following is needed: aircraft type, registration, owners name and indication if you're interested in cockpit panels, autopilot or both.
Let's start the list with me:
1. DA42, SE-MAD, Lamassu Ltd., both cockpit instruments and autopilot.

7) N704AB. DA42. Panel and autopilot
N412PJ. DA40. panel and autopilot
9) N660 PS. DA40 panel and autopilot.
If we did one, probably do all 3 for standardization.
All 3 nonwaas kap140 legacy g1000s.

Re: Dynon Avionics - seeking an alternative to Garmin
Please take me into account for that. Although not in an urgent need now, but in 2-3 years I will need to upgrade to some more current set than the “best an only” G1000 screens...
Mainly due to WAAS and spare parts issues.
Hopefully Dynon ends this Garmin/Diamond legacy saga...
10. DA42, D-GJHO, for both G1000 and KAP140 replacement

Re: Dynon Avionics - seeking an alternative to Garmin
Thanks everybody. So we have 10 (+1 who PM’ed me data) aircrafts for now. Let’s expand this list to 20-30 to give Dynon the idea of potential market.
