You need a few more consultants working for you and then you need a PC-12.

I've thought about this the last couple of days. I realized I have no dreams. Now some would say this is a sad thing, but it isn't. To me having dreams implies I would want something that would make my life better in some way than it is now and for the foreseeable future. I realize that, generally, when I wanted something different I would just make that happen, rather than wish for it. The result is I'm happy with where I am and what I have. For example I have no desire to "upgrade" to a different plane. (Though I am not above adding farkles to my present DA40.

We have had sufficient luck, initiative and perseverance to get us into a comfortable retirement with our health and values intact. And have sufficient activities and various toys. What more I could want I have no idea.

Thank you all for sharing. We are definitely all fortunate to be airplane owners. I enjoyed reading all comments.

I am where Rich is. I can think of other planes I would like to fly, and I suppose I wouldn't say no to a DA62 if it was parked where 2RD was when I next get to the airport, but another plane means a different mission, which means some large change in my life. I can't think of anything I need to change. If I had a place in Idaho I guess a PC-12 would be a nice upgrade. I don't. I can't think of what I would get from yet another home in yet a different spot.

I dream of having my commercial certificate so that the Diamond factory would pay my to ferry new DA62's to different parts of North America. That would be nice.

Another dream of mine would be to relocate to a place where it’s sunny, warm and vfr all the time.

Pascal, I heartily recommend Southern California. In fact, I specifically recommend Agua Dulce, California, which has it's own little airport.

For me an airplane has become transportation. While I love flying I’ve run out of little airplane places that I want to fly too. Lately I’ve been flying a friends Eclipse jet. It’s always fun to fly something new but I can confidently say I have zero desire to own it. Something about it just isn’t that enjoyable. I like my little DA40. If I had something that would fly a little higher and faster maybe I would have a new mission.

What would I really like to have? Maybe a C90 or F90 King Air. I could buy one for much less than a DA62. Operating cost may be different.

I am building a DR107 One Design to scratch the aerobatic itch. It should be done by summer.

Colin, I'd love to move to Southern California one day. I've been there on several occasions for business. For the moment being I want to stay close to my ageing parents. By the time I am ready to move to the U.S. in a few years, who knows if the new trade agreement that will replace NAFTA will still allow I.T. guys like me to work in the U.S.
