What are your dreams?
First my dream was to get my pilots license. I did. Then the dream of owning my own plane was front and center for many years afterwards. I quietly dreamt of that possibility Walter Mitty - style throughout my busy schedule. I started to watch YouTube videos of planes and learned about ownership.
I was obsessed. That too became a reality and I feel fortunate to have a 2008 all to myself.
Just recently I’ve started watching videos blogs of people traveling around the world .
Fellow owners. What are your dreams?

Re: What are your dreams?
I dream of an ifr certified, glass panel, affordable four seat airplane that would be as beautiful, safe and fun to fly as my DA20-C1.

Well, maybe not affordable to buy a new one, but the used market isn't bad.

I'm in the same boat! Hoping my next step will be a G1000 DA40 - but am still humbled everytime I look at my DA20 and realize how lucky I am to have my own aircraft.

Getting a plane again. I just sold my DA42 because I was not flying enough. I need a new mission

Wow - were you just running out of places to go to justify the costs, or not enough time? What was your previous mission? A DA42 is certainly a significant commitment in EVERY respect (what a beautiful bird though!)jon1746 wrote:Getting a plane again. I just sold my DA42 because I was not flying enough. Been there, done that.gordsh wrote:Moving up from a DA40 to a DA62 and flying my family around.
At this very moment sitting on the beach in the nice warm Bahamas, having flown our DA62 here for a week's vacation with a fun group of 6 other aircraft owners who also flew here.

Re: What are your dreams?
Its all first world problems for me. My consulting firm has gotten larger and I work mostly from home with others doing the work. Last year I only flew 27 hours. I started having more and more flights the required me to absolutely get there so I had to take commercial. I toyed with the idea of getting a RV8 for fun was talked out of it by a very experienced pilot.
