headset issues
Has anyone had a issue with either the co-pilot of pilot headsets dropping out every so often in a flight? I can be talking and about every 4-15 seconds it drops out for a second or two.. My side tone in the headset goes out on co-pilot side, or the pilot side I can't hear him talking.
Does anyone know how to access the headset plugs backside to check for loose wiring?
Thanks

Have you tried with another headset on the co-pilot's side?Nick2024 wrote:Has anyone had a issue with either the co-pilot of pilot headsets dropping out every so often in a flight? Re: headset issues
Hi Nick,
Have you tried setting the squelch to manual and adjusting it a bit? I find the auto setting clips the conversations for the first second or two. I usually fly with the squelch in manual mode because of this, but then you do get a little background noise.

Re: headset issues
I have also been having that problem. I use a zulu lightspeed for myself and most of the instructors have used bose or david clark headsets. I bought inexpensive telex mono's for passengers. Am now having audio panel replaced and was told should use stereo headsets. Told the mono's will cause short in the audio panel. Anybody have any experience or advise. Suggestions on reasonable headsets for passengers? Thanks

Re: headset issues
We've used the UFlyMike adapters and cheaper consumer Bose ANR headsets (QC-2, QC-15) for years for backseat passengers (Zulu's in the front). They work nicely back there except for one issue: once the battery dies you don't just lose the active noise reduction -- you lose ALL hearing in the headsets.
So if you go with UFlyMike and Bose headset, be sure to carry a backup battery.

How do you adjust the squelch for just the headsets? I watched the Garmin tutorial on adjusting the squelch, but I inferred that this adjustment only affected the Comm radios.
I have the same issue (intercom cutout)...
Thx.
