Re: New Kid in Town
Salut, Antoine. I'm an American, and about-to-be DA40 owner. As a young lawyer I lived for five years in Paris and worked on an arbitration case based in Lausanne. Our team stayed at the Beau Rivage. Beautiful town, great memories.

I like the Beau Rivage, although it has a bit of a scary history.

Bonjour à tous, mon DA40 est basé à Montréal. Faites-moi signe si vous êtes de passage dans la région!
No 14'ers around here, but some very nice flying to be had nonetheless.

Salut Charles, I don't need to visit the area. I am already in the area - sort of. Check out KPTD. I am based in the US but just 70nm from CYUL - which airport are you at?

Re: New Kid in Town
Salut Erik, I'm out of CYHU (CYUL is not GA-friendly). There are four DA40s, two or three DA20s and one recently upgraded DA42 here, all owned by individuals.

Hello Antoine - Hello Forum Members and Diamond Stars
greetings from Buochs Switzerland - I am also a newcomer in this forum. Since one year I own a DA40-180 D-ENMA (former N319MA), stationed in LSZC - www.airportbuochs.ch - the place were the Pilatus Aircraft built.
I am looking forward to share the experience with the DA40 community
regards thomas

Re: New Kid in Town
Hello Thomas,
Welcome to this forum.
LSZC looks like a nice airport.
I'd be very interested to hear about your DA40's FAA to EASA conversion story. I don't know many EASA registered DA40-180 Lyco's around here.

What year is your DA40? I own a 2003 DA40. If the original tail number corresponds to the serial number we may have similar aircraft.

Re: New Kid in Town
Hi Jean,
My DA40 is one of the last built with instuments (no G1000). This Version with the MT 3 blade prop has an EASA certificaton. But as far a I know it is also possible to bring a G1000 and a Sens 2 blade prop version into EASA. Do you intend to bring yours to the HB register?
we can discuss this once - by phone or mail - as it is not from great interest for our US friends here in the forum. Or come and make visit in Buochs - I work at the airport.
