I have a B12 that I use with my DA40. A little overkill I know. My rule is never anything but low if the tug is hooked to an airplane.

I know the subject line here is B5 vs B8 but I went with their Romeo series and couldn’t be happier. My situation is that my hangar is a bit tight and I needed to make sure the wings cleared as I backed her in. With the remote I can fit her in safely every time. The R8 is powerful enough but I went with the R12 “just in case” there is a bit of a slope coming out of my hangar).

I spoke to Best and they said R5 was fine for the DA62.

I do have a little slope, but they said it should still be fine.

Thanks for the info on the Romeo series. Do you have the Lazy Susan option?

How long does it take to get used to the remote and the feeling of being disconnected from the plane ?

Is anyone using an R5 or even an R8?

Thanks

Jim
