Has anyone put ceramic on an older plane? Mine is a 2003 with some chips, nicks and scratches, mostly on the cowling and leading edges. I would say that the luster is reduced by about 50% from a new plane, but it shines up nicely with Klasse polymer coating applied 2x per year. It's hangared. Based on the comments and photos from Donkadillapig and FlyingPenguin I would consider ceramic. How often does it have to be reapplied? There is a guy close to me in Iowa City that shows his work on you tube - Aviana.
