R alternator fail
Shows right alternator fail even though it chargers fine switch left off and it takes over maybe charges a little less when both on

Re: R alternator fail
The DA42 has automatic alternator load balancing. So if your right alternator failed, the left engine alternator automatically starts powering everything without any action required on the part of the pilot.
I actually had this happen to me once in my DA42-VI on an IFR flight from Sacramento to San Diego. After consulting the AFM and emergency checklist, I realized there was nothing more for me to do, and so continued with the rest of the flight normally. Got the right alternator replaced (plane was still under warranty) while still in California before flying back home to the US east coast.

Re: R alternator fail
Check Usense connector for loose, damaged of corroded pins and sockets.
This wiring diagram shows left Alt but it is the same for right Alt too.
If the sockets are spread like in the picture you can gently squeeze them with small pliers.
