Epic Eagle H.U.D.
Has anyone purchased and installed an Epic Eagle 1 Heads Up Display in their DA 42?

I tried to fit the H.U.D. into my airplane today. It is too deep to fit on the glares shield.too bad, it is a nice unit.

Re: Epic Eagle H.U.D.
That’s really a shame. They are just about ready to ship a next generation version that displays PFD information from a G1000 interface on a transparent background (unlike the current version that simply mirrors your iPad screen). Saw it at Oshkosh, and it blew me away. Actual airspeed and altitude from the aircraft sensors instead of Stratus generated GPS altitude and ground speed. It even has Flight Path Marker (ball) and steering cue (circle). Works just like a big boy HUD. Flying does not get any easier than simply putting the ball in the circle. About $3,500 for all of the hardware, including the G1000 interface.
