Just before the 100 hourly, I get a warning of Stall heat failure. I had checked it on the ground and it worked perfectly. Was in light cloud but no ice. OAT was about 0 hence use of the pitot and stall heat.
Landed fine and again checked it, but seemed all okay: stall warning sound ok and it heated up.
Next flight same thing happened.
So at the 100 hour asked the guys to check it out. No issues. Avionics guy came with suggestion it was overheating, but that assumed I always turn it on, which I don't. Only if I am in cloud/visible moisture and below 0 degrees does it go on.
Any ideas or suggestions? I have heard that a couple of the new 42 VI have had this issue.
Cheers
David

Re: Stall heat warning
When I had that warning the heating had failed and required changing complete assembly which was very expensive.

Did you get the "stall heat" warning rectified? If so, what was done?
