Hi,
In October 2016 we were forced to replace the exhaust pipes of our DA42 due to MSB 42-120 (problems with cracks in the pipes, that could not be detected because of fixed mounted heat shields).
Half a year later, there was a new MSB 42-129 that introduced a 50h check intervall for the new exhaust pipes. Seems like the new ones were not well designed
Meanwhile there is a 3rd version of the MSB 42-120 that recommends to remove the "new" exhaust pipes and to go back to the old ones plus install a clamp.
I am wondering who is paying for the unnecessary installation of the new exhaust pipes in our plane.. and who is paying to get it back into the original status..
any thoughts? Who has the same problem? Please PM me..
thx
Hans
