Nit Picking at Altitude
Look at that bottom row. I'm okay with it being mirrored from the centerline. Or it could be the same order for each side, but this is *neither.* Mirrored from the centerline for the inner four breakers, mirrored from the centerline for the two groups, but then it switches to a set order for the outer three breakers.
Being an OCD architect is hell on those long flights.

While I am at it, that image was right-side up when I uploaded it.

I think it's fixed now, but maybe you should stop flying inverted.Colin wrote:While I am at it, that image was right-side up when I uploaded it.

Or perhaps Colin took the picture while overflying Australia...Chris wrote:I think it's fixed now, but maybe you should stop flying inverted.Colin wrote:While I am at it, that image was right-side up when I uploaded it.

I think I need an OCD refresher, this would (and will now) bother me but I never noticed before.

Re: Nit Picking at Altitude
If it makes you feel any better, the DA62 panel has the same bottom row of circuit breakers in the same order.
The DA62 panel has it's own issue upon which OCD pilots can nit pick: The location for the tail number placard (e.g., N-number) above the right side of the PFD is tucked directly under the glare shield so that the pilot/co-pilot can't read it unless they duck down and lower their heads.
Of course if you can't remember your plane's tail number (and need to look at the placard) when making radio calls, you've got bigger issues. But it you're flying somebody else's plane it's nice to be able to read it.

This forum is great, English is not my native language – “Nit Picking” never heard … but Google helped me
- learning English in the DAN –
But for the “OCD Pilot” I need your help
Danke schön - many thanks

Re: Nit Picking at Altitude
I would move that placard. I remember my tail number, but I fly a friend's plane and I *never* remember hers. I think I did an entire flight SMO – LGB using my own DA40 tail number instead. The ground controller pointed my mistake out.
OCD is a real, psychiatric disability where the suffering person is compelled to repeat certain behaviors over and over (hand washing is common). Like many syndromes, there are "shadow" versions of it and there are people bothered by little details or compelled to correct things which most people don't notice at all.
