By your aircraft registration, you have a 2012 model, correct? The new baffle design would have long since been included by this year I believe. I am not an expert so somebody please correct me.

I think it's just a fact of life on the DA40. If you see the temps approaching 400 degrees, you need to quickly change something or they will keep climbing.
I have found that even on barely "warm" days the temps like to shoot up if you're climbing quickly.
