With the NG I always observe fueling to be sure I get Jet-A and not Avgas. No exceptions.

I second the comment about staying for the fueling. As above, it only has to be a mistake that happens once...

Tie down straps can be unruly. I finally figured out a trick to tame them. I wrap the straps carefully around the ratchet then place the bundle in a rubber glove, the type of glove you use when changing oil.
