KAP 140 GPSS: NAV mode irrelevent
I realized this today, after making several coupled approaches recently. There really is no need to hit the NAV button again, save some failure in the (in my case) Aspen GPSS function. A couple of hours later I attended a Webinar on autopilots and GPSS in which the instructor/presenter echoed exactly this thought. You're either in HDG or APPR mode with respect to course tracking.
