Ok, thank you very much.

The “not visible” part of your installation is that the wire is plugged to the battery permanently with a fuse on it, right?

Another question, why are there 2 connectors (2 pairs is cables)?

Thanks.

Yes the invisible part is wired to the battery with a fuse, the 2nd wire is the temp sensor.

There is a nice pic on the BatteryMinder webpage.

Thank you very much.
As the Ctek MXT 4.0 has no temperature sensor, I guess that I won’t need this wire.

I want to emphasize that the sealed battery is the first step to a reliable battery. The Concorde AGM battery in the picture from Thomas is such a battery.

The 243 is wet as you know. The water evaporates. The 243S is sealed.

Yes

Is it ok to install it on our birds?

What are the cons? Except the price I suppose.

There are no cons. Sealed batteries are what the factory has been shipping for a few years.

Wow, that is a nice pic on the webpage! Unfortunately the DA40 isn't anything like that. The solenoid is buried under an impossible to remove cover (red arrow in my pic). And now Batteryminder says "do not wire directly to battery terminals". They say you must buy the $70 kit and have an FAA certified mechanic fabricate and install it.

I am not an FAA certified mechanic, so I am not smart enough to know why a standard batteryminder connector wired directly to the battery terminals is bad. Can someone please explain that to me???
