Weird - it now says no serious injuries reported but that the two are in critical condition :scratch: Other reports say "non-life-threatening injuries"

"Engine problems several hours into the flight". Kinda makes you wonder if the problems were related to running out of fuel. There won't be any wreckage to examine...

I'm curious how the ditching went. Did they flip? How did the egress go? I've always wondered about how that would go in a DA40 living around water here.

This is the first water landing I have heard about. Listening to the video, sounds like it went well and the pilots reasonably safe. Good to know.

ChrisB compiled a list of pre-2016 DA40 ditching events in this thread. It doesn't seem like any of them flipped over on splash-down.
