I have done three flights now since installing the fin and bending the trim tab to straight. On all occasions plane has been perfectly coordinated... so may need to find alternate leg workout routine now! Like Russ , I had the same experience whereby on climb out I could tell if I had a corked nose wheel.

First, this is G1000NXi.

1. Every G1000 I've seen has three options for the wind display, this is just my preference.
2. There is no DME. What's displayed is just the GPS calculated distance to the VOR.
3. The traffic display is from ADSB. But the inset map has a few more location options in NXi.
4. That's just where it shows up. I guess they "fixed" it from the G1000.
5. Decoding the frequency is an NXi feature. However, the Garmin frequency database is not always up to date or accurate. I routinely am assigned an Oakland Center frequency that is not decoded.

The "extra padding" under the fin is a hard plastic material, not padding. I'm not sure why it is there.

FYI, I have not touched my trim tab. I think it was properly set by the factory with the nose wheel straight.

I followed Rich's lead and they do look better. For reference I used M5 x 35mm.

Next is painting. I'll post a picture after the paint job.

I ordered this kit in Mercedes Arctic White 147, per the AMM, so it should be a perfect match. The kit is intended for plastic bumpers. It supposed to arrive tomorrow so I'll try it in the next week or two.

If you put in 2017 and Sprinter, then choose white, it shows Arctic White 147. Probably other combinations, too, but I fond that one first (actually, WalMart sells this kit, too, and they had the model and year).

Actually, it's here on Amazon too!
