Re: Flap issue now!
As is often the case, the IPC doesn't list a PN for these microswitches. Luckily, I have a spare flap motor assembly that I purchased on eBay about 8 years ago, so I was able to examine it in detail. The 5 microswitches are all the same PN, and are a standard electrical component available at Newark:

They are cheap, only $2.34 each. It would be much easier to source them yourself, as long as your mechanic is OK with it. Good luck with the troubleshooting...

Re: Flap issue now!
I purchased the official Diamond part back in 2016 and the Diamond PN was 159-4629, cost of $15.60 ea.
IIRC, all 5 are the same switch but some are wired to the NO contact and some to the NC contact.

Re: Flap issue now!
Awesome info Steve and Kyle! Much appreciated. I did find it weird that some are wired to the NO and others to the NC. I tried calling a few Diamond places earlier today, and surprisingly, none of them knew the part number, or the cost, nor did they stock them.

We also replaced one about 6 years ago - the parts cost at that time to replaced the #5 flap microswitch with new switch (P/N: 159-4629) was $19.69.

Re: Flap issue now!
Hello,
Today again I have the same intermittent problem from T/O position to UP.
When I leave the switch on UP, it finally retract from T/O to UP after 30 seconds.
Sounds like the microswitch #1 is sticking to its position.
I cleaned all the microswitch with contact spray cleaner and now it works perfectly.
Strange ?
Arnaud.

Re: Flap issue now!
Hi all, installation is to apply a small dot of elmers glue to the back side of the microswitch that will hold the micro switch to the assemble while threading the bolts on.am replacing micro switch #1 which unfortunately did replace only two years ago. In any case does anyone know the specs on the two retaining bolts that hold the micro switch onto the assembly. Amazon has some micro bolt and nut sets but do not know what to order. One tip on. Wish I had the handsa of a five year old to do it. Pain in the... Any help will be appreciated.

Those parts are spec'd in the Parts Manual:
DIN7985-M2x12-A2 F.H. Screw
DIN125-2.2-A2 Washer
DIN127B-2-A2 Split washer
DIN934-M2-A2 Hexagon nut
You can source them at a number of metric hardware suppliers on line.

Re: Flap issue now!
Steve, thank you so much. Was able to use the old hardware yesterday. I think I am going to switch to a hexagon ( allen wrench accessible bolt ).
Sure will be alot easier working from the bottom. I have a feeling I will be doing this again in a couple of years. That is how long the last #1 worked.
Next time I may just remove the whole assembly and bench change all the micro switches. Thanks again.

Re: Flap issue now!
David: I think that removing the flap actuator assembly (two bolts and one electrical connector) to repair it on the bench is definitely the way to go, both in terms of time spent and ease of working on it.
