I replaced my 330 with a 345, in the same place, which is to the right of the autopilot and beneath the fuel gauge. I remember they told me it was a tight fit because of the canopy arm. I don’t think it is sticking out any farther than the 330 did, but I’ll take a picture next time I fly and will repost.

Be careful the first time you close the canopy after the installation. When the tech was done installing mine, he closed the canopy without thinking and the strut scraped loudly against the back of the transponder. That bent the back of the 345 slightly and damaged the paint on the strut. A small adjustment could have avoided that.
