We've made it through yet another calendar year without a single fatal accident in any Diamond in the US. Specifically for each of the DA40 (including -180, CD, and NG) and DA20, that's been the case for 11 of the last 18 years - 7 apiece across all that time span. DA42's in the US have never had a single one.
Worldwide not quite so stellar. It's difficult (i.e., super-tedious) to try to compare to other types. It is worth saying that a substantial majority of fatal Diamond accidents have occurred outside the US.
Honorable mention: No SR20 fatal US accidents in the last 2 calendar years.
Ain't we US flyers swell?
