Lost traffic on MFD

Post by 40flyer »

Enroute home from Michigan’s upper peninsula I noticed the MFD was not displaying traffic on the Map page. The traffic page showed targets appropriately. My wife was continuously playing with the MFD so she may have hit a wrong button somewhere. I have the 345R box and a flight stream 210 and I was seeing targets on my iPad. Anyone have any idea how I get the traffic back on the Map page?

Press the Map button. There are toggles at the bottom for what to show (Terrain, NextRAD, etc). She probably just toggled off traffic.

Hi Colin,

That’s what I first tried to do but there was no traffic toggle there. I’m flying again tomorrow. Maybe it was just a gremlin.

Not likely a gremlin. Check the Map settings for Traffic.

Doesn't the G1000 have a button that can be pushed to "declutter" the screen? It's been so long since I've tried that I can't remember if it does or if it's just my iPad or the experimental hardware in my Sportsman that does this. Anyway declutter might hide traffic.

I checked today and Colin had it right. There is a soft labeled button under the Map display that toggles traffic on/off.
