Hello,
I have a question regarding the Garmin GMA340.
I lately read that there are 2 audio input capability on this device.
Did some of you experienced to connect and use it?
From what I read, it seems that Audio 1 is muted when the COM 1 is speaking, and Audio 2 is for passenger (non muted for all, when pilot mode is selected). Is that right?
My intention is to use it for music from an apple device (ipad or iphone), is there any need to use a impedance adapter?
Is it better to use a small jack (3,5) or another size?
Thank you for your help.
Arnaud.

Re: GMA340 and Music
Hi Arnaud,
did you make any progress on this topic? The option is well described in the GMA340 installation manual and according to the DA40 wiring all cables are available with open cable ends. Garmin suggests to use 3,5mm jacks to connect directly to any modern device.
I have the issue that our DA40 is in the German CAMO and we cannot easily install the jacks on our own. Has anybody experience regarding the installation?
Thanks,
Martin

Hi Martin,
No I didn't do anything on this because I listen music through my A20 Bose in Bluetooth.
And passengers (kids) are listen to their Ipads...

Re: GMA340 and Music
Ok, thank you.
Currently this is my option as well though I am always unsatisfied with incomplete solutions ;-)
