My plane is a 06 as well. The lumbar is fixed. It's pretty centrally located and not so obtrusive as to be an issue for anyone who flies it (ie. next owner).vontresc wrote:I'll have to keep that in mind on our '06 Da-40. The front seats could use some new foam, and adding the lumbar support would be nice. Is this an adjustable support, or just a fixed one?

Hey Lance. It's best to call his wife (she runs the business side) as she actually answers her phone. Josh who does the work is always busy doing Gulftstream interiors so he never answers his phone. Her name is Dorooney and her number is 909-570-7526.Lance Murray wrote:Do you have contact info for him? I think its time to refresh my airplane too! I'm in San Diego.

Very Nice. Those look a lot like the Coopers Cabin Craft ones in the UK. Did you use those as reference or did they just happen upon a nearly identical design.

The lumbar support looks amazing! I bet that is going to make a huge difference comfort wise for longer flights

He works with his wife and some other family members I think. I believe they are all involved. Believe me ... I wasn't complaining!ememic99 wrote:That's fast for someone who's busy.Tipo815 wrote:Colin wrote:Turnaround for my job was three weeks.

I think you're the only one that caught that (or mentioned it). I had him build in the extra lumbar because as we all know ... the OEM seats are less that perfect in terms of overall comfort and even more so when it comes to any kind of lumbar support! The new seats with the support feel awesome! I have yet to test them on anything longer than a 30 minute flight but I plan to do so in the near future.YCCA wrote:The lumbar support looks amazing! Re: New Seats and Interior in the 40!
Believe it or not I happen to like that "Bentley" cross stitch look which also happens to be very similar to the Coopers design. I had my R44 seats done about five years ago with the same design (same guy did both my R44 and DA40) so it's a design that I carried over. If you like the cross stitch look there's not going to be a ton of variance between the overall look (cross stitch is cross stitch). So yes ... it does look similar but I was going for the Bentley look as opposed to the Coopers look.trepine wrote:Very Nice. Those look a lot like the Coopers Cabin Craft ones in the UK. Re: New Seats and Interior in the 40!
Just a reminder: this Jason Cooper who also operated under "Custom Aircraft Trimmers" in the UK is a crook.
I made the mistake of letting him do the interior of my Extra 400 without getting customer references.
He insulted me, ripped me off, blackmailed me and got me to pay an additional $ 3'000 in ransom for 2 of my seats which he had held back while pretending he had shipped so I would release the final payment.
I sued him, won the case and then found out that there were 2 more cases won against him. This may explain why there's a "Coopers Cabin Aircraft" in business. It looks suspiciously similar to me...
Don't even get close Jason Cooper and PM me for more detail. I have a big file and now that the court case is won, I can disclose it without fear of a countersuit against me or the forum.
