OAT Probe
Has anyone experienced an OAT probe failure? I had an "AHRS TAS" error code last weekend. The TAS and OAT were x'd out. IAS was fine. The avionics shop could not reproduce the error and everything came up clear. We suspect the OAT probe, since OAT is an input for TAS. Any thoughts or similar experiences?

Re: OAT Probe
Yeah, we had the same error on our 2007 DA40. Replaced the OAT probe for a cool $1000 and never saw the error again.

Re: OAT Probe
I had an intermittent issue just like yours, OAT run up and down, TAS xout then autopilot disconnect, replaced the OAT probe, gone for a while but reappeared. Rewired directly to the ADC, problem solved.
Hair puller. but got it.

Re: OAT Probe
Tim - this is interesting. Could you please expand a little on what was done since my technical knowledge is weak. It would also be great if you could please PM your avionic guys name, and I will have our local shop reach out. Thank you very much.
