Hi Steve,

The oil change was changed some weeks before.
Maybe something was fragilise.

Hello,

Now it is confirmed that my oil temp probe is dead.

As the VM1000 is discontinued it’s not easy to find the ref of the part.

I contacted JPI and it seems that there are several refs for the oil temp probe.

I checked on the probe itself, but nothing is written.

Can you help me?

Note that VM support is for experimental aircraft only according to their website.

Yes, but an electrical part is a part is a part. Airworthiness is determined by the installer. We are talking about a sensor, not made by Vision Microsystems. I have spare oil and fuel pressure sensors, they are made by Honeywell, as are the ones in the airplane. I also have a lot of other spares for the system, like inverter modules. My IA has no problem determining their airworthiness for installation.
