Turning on and Off GTX-345R Bluetooth with G1000
Quick question for those of you who have installed the GTX-345R with a G1000. I am unable to see in any of the manuals how you turn on and off Bluetooth or flush out the cache of prior connected devices. I am flying a plane with a panel mounted GTX-345 and there you can do these functions on the panel directly. Than you in advance.

You can manage the -345 using the Garmin Pilot app on Android and iOS. It speaks directly to the box.
That said, there should be few reasons to turn it off or manage devices. The box will connect to whoever connects to it after startup.

The issue is that Bluetooth is not turned on and we need it to be on before we can control from Garmin Pilot. Any idea on who to toggle Bluetooth on and off from the G1000?

Re: Turning on and Off GTX-345R Bluetooth with G1000
In the GTX-345R the Bluetooth functionality is always on unless configured (usually during installation) to be off. The device enables Bluetooth every startup. I looked in the installation manual and there is a setting to have it off; perhaps your avionics installer left it disabled?
There is also the possibility that the range is too limited. People mention that BT doesn't work well from the front seats. The signal will be attenuated by metal and other materials within the plane. For the best results, try connecting to it with your device (Android, iOS) being held in the middle of the plane between the seats.

There seems to be one here. No guarantees on the source! http://joesrv12.com/Garmin/GTX%20345%20 ... 9-02_4.pdf
The continuing airworthiness manuals from Garmin also reference the Bluetooth configuration and can be found here. https://support.garmin.com/support/manu ... country=US

Make certain that you "pair" the iPad using the iPad.

Curious, what all can you "manage" of the 345 with the Garmin Pilot app? No one ever told me about any such thing when I had mine installed. BTW, my bluetooth works fine from both front seats.
