Very interesting, Rich. Incidentally, I upgraded from the Aveo Ultra Galactica.

Re: LED wingtip - Pulsar or Whelen
This morning I thought I'd revisit my plane to confirm my previous impressions. I think I'll revise them. I still can't say I notice death-ray intensity when I look at the anti-collision lights BUT I do note that the image burns into my vision for a good ten minutes afterward. This also includes the position lights.
But here's something interesting. I left the A-C lights running and walked out in front of the airplane. As I got about twenty feet in front, the A-C lights no longer appeared white. They were very clearly red As I walked back in, the lights still appeared red until I was just a very few feet away, when suddenly they were white at close range. 100% repeatable - both sides

More interesting: A-C lights did not exhibit that apparent color change today. I'm at a loss Must meditate on this

Rich-
After reading your post, I was starting to doubt my own impressions of the OR600's. This morning, I turned the LED's on and gave them a quick look. I guess everyone's eyes are different and have varying degrees of sensitivity, but I think the LEDs are much brighter than the stock lights. I have no regrets installing the OR600's.

Re: LED wingtip - Pulsar or Whelen
We are slowly putting the Orion 600 lights on the DA20's. They seem to be very bright to me any ways. I can tell them from the ground when they fly over my house at night whether they have the new LED/strobes or not.

Hi Arnaud,
what have you insatalliert now, I installed the wheelen already 2 years ago, because they fit quite well. Besides, I have no avionics compass problems since. I have not regretted it, the only advantage being that the power supply drops twice a weight saving of just under one kilo and significantly less power consumption and interference in the compas system insatiated in the wing tip.
What does the installation of the luggage compartment do? Satisfied?
Best regards
Thomas

PS: If somebody needs a power supply, I would have a working left over for sale.

Re: LED wingtip - Pulsar or Whelen
Hi Thomas,
I finally installed the Whelen, and I'm very satisfied too. I do also have the power supply to sell now .
The ski tube is perfect, and it allows us to bring the stroller for my son this summer in our 3 weeks trip in Italy/France!
Really mandatory accessory, thanks again.
Arnaud.

Re: LED wingtip - Pulsar or Whelen
Hi Arnaud,
we were also in France with our 7 month old son, stroller and infant carrier. Without a large luggage compartment impossible. Where were you?
We were in LFHV near Lyon and in Ales in the Cévennes on a nice river for swimming. It was fantastic beautiful flights and a good time!

Re: LED wingtip - Pulsar or Whelen
Thomas,
I'm based in LFPX (close Paris), we did LFKA (Albertville French Alps) then Venezia (LIPV), then Torraccia San Marino (private airfield), then Tuscany (UL field), then Marina Di Campo Elba (LIRJ), then Massa (LILQ), then LFKA again, then LFEQ in Brittany (Quiberon), then back home.
If you come closer to Paris, let me know I will drive you and your familly from the airfield to Paris or Versailles if you want (my airport LFPX or I can pick you up at LFPZ too).
