While flying a training flight today, I experienced a failure of the ILS auto tune feature. Approach was entered as normal & displayed correctly but as we turned to intercept final I noticed that the #1 Nav was tuned to a local VOR. The HSI correctly switched to LOC & the course was correctly set. We manually tuned the ILS & all was well. Tried reloading the same approach on the ground & it did the same thing. #2 NAV auto tuned correctly.
Has anyone seen this before?
