Awesome responses guys and thank you. Definitely will try the pencil trick just to see if I can get the light to go out.

Mine has a single warning when either door is sensed to be ajar/open. Either the front or rear triggers the same warning without telling you which one.

Yes, mine just says ‘doors’ so I do not know which one is the culprit yet. So the pencil trick may help me out.

I had exactly the same problem. Rear door. I was able to bend these flimsy plates back into place and it has been working fine for more than a year. I have a 2002 as well.

Thanks everyone. In my case it was the front canopy. I was able to adjust the metal plate and no more alarm, yeah.
