Front Wheel Pant Protector

Post by Pilot55 »

Glenn Lawler at South Tec Aviation in saliusbury NC now has white wheel pant protectors that mount on the front nose gear and protect the wheel pant from your tow bar. These are very nice. I have them on my plane. His number is 704-431-6862.

Thanks Bret: I called to see if the wheel pant protector would fit the DA20. Negative, but they will look into it.

I think I saw it elsewhere but picture, price, and installation details would be great.

I would also like to see a photo. I would want to be sure that they would not interfere with the nose gear pant decals.

now if only you could integrate an aerodynamic fin into it that would prevent the corked nosewheel effect... all would be good in the universe.

If someone can tell me how to post a pic on the forum I will post a few. Also Steve I have made a bolt on fin that eliminates the corked nose wheel. We all know it is against FAA rules but I will also post a pic of the fin too.

Also the installation is simple. Unscrew the two or one screw (depends on what year plane you have) by the tow holes. reinstall the screws through the holes in the protectors and tighten. It takes all of 5 minutes.
