Re: Hartzell Composite Prop Overhaul?
Mine is in as we speak. It is an MT Prop. I was advised today of a service letter SL22k requiring work on the blades.
Here is the link:

I am using Hope Aero in Canada however the blade work is being handled out of Florida by MT. Cost is roughly $4000 for the prop shop plus labour by my AME (Estimate at this point). It will be out for overhaul for 1 month.

Re: Hartzell Composite Prop Overhaul?
Many thanks - that's about what I've been told for the Hartzell.
I'd like to hear from someone about the Hartzell composite prop overhaul -- they're quite different than the MTs with a metal core rather than wood, kevlar, etc. The Hartzell doesn't have a time-required overhaul, so might be more rare.

Re: Hartzell Composite Prop Overhaul?
What did your prop end up costing Charlie. I just got a quote from Hope for $7800CAD. (6200 US)
Mine did not need to go to the US for the blade work. It did need a new leading edge from a stone I picked up last year.
Seems very excessive compared to what I hear from others on this site. I am very disappointed. I got hit with the amsafe inflators as well for $1000 each.
This plane is turning into a money pit.
