CHT Probe Cost

Post by Charles K »

Hi there

Can anyone with a G1000 DA40 please tell me what you paid for a replacement CHT probe please. Also if you have the part number that would be great. The IPC on Diamond's site shows the Vision Systems probe. It has no data on the G1000 parts and if they are different.

I am in annual now. My shop states 270 per probe which seems very high.

Thanks for any data.

Mine is a DA40 40.400 2004.

Found the G1000 required equipment list on Garmin's site. Someone may want to add this PDF to the files section.

http://static.garmin.com/pumac/G1000:Di ... _DA40_.pdf

Requires a Garmin part no 494-00026-01 which is an Alcor (Tempest) 86253. Trying to find pricing now.

So far found same probes used for the G3X setup - but of course that is not for certified aircraft. You can get 4 of those for about 300 dollars. I am sure the certified parts will be more - just like the G5, etc....

Hey Charles,

I had to buy one last December for my 2007. I bought it from Premier in Florida (Brittany Glassman 954-334-2393). Part no. A602BG-WIP. The complete assembly was less expensive than just the probe itself. Cost was $149.60 plus $24.11 shipping. Brittany was very helpful.

Rick

Thanks

I have purchased from them before - great service there and Brittany is awesome.

Sounds like my shop is almost doubling the price - will confirm with Brittany tomorrow and call my shop back.

Thanks !

I just paid $185 Canadian for a CHT probe in July. That was at the factory in London.
