Same here. And even if "the KAP140" breaks, because it's actually a system comprised of numerous parts it'd probably be more cost-effective to simply replace/repair the offending device. But when the time comes that the KAP140 parts are no longer supported/available, it'd be nice to have some options.Tom Davis wrote:I have had very good luck with my KAP 140. I had some unacceptable behavior problems in the first couple of years I owned the plane (200-2004). But after a software update and servo replacement (done under warranty) it;s been totally reliable now for 13 years.
But to point out the obvious, a cost-effective option for those DA40's purchased without an A/P would be helpful.
