I think I have the answer to this but wanted to double check. This alert occurred just the other day after being grounded for several months due to poor weather. What I have found in my searches is that I need to update the Garmin or Jepssen database in order to update the magnetic heading/drift which I believe Dave stated occurs every 5-years. Can I download just this update from Garmin or do I need to purchase a new database?
Any links or insight would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

Mine just automatically included itself with my usual Jeppesen nav data update. I never saw it appear separately anywhere.

The attached document from Garmin explains what you need to do.
Having said that, I failed to do the upgrade on my DA40D, so if anyone can help with that, please let me know.
