The SR20 G6 has Perspective+. The DA40 will still be restricted to G1000. Not G1000 NXi, at least Diamond has not announced the transition, like Cirrus, King Air and Textron (C172/182/210/...).
Perspective+ alone is reason enough to want to fly the SR20.

Re: Cirrus SR20 switches to Lycoming IO390
There are quite a few things that speak for the SR20 G6. The avionics is one, but keep in mind the huge boost in useful load that comes from the "SR22 G5" improvements (carbon spar, etc...). There's also the great Beringer wheels and brakes.
This said I don't think Diamond have a choice. My understanding is that the "old" G1000 hardware will be discontinued.

Sure. After a transition period that may last a year or two. The others are already there. If they can't even get a software update to the GDU approved, how will they manage a completely new software platform? Throws them off the road.

Unfortunately the DA40 is not mentioned. Only the NG.
And: This is what I call vapourware: Details will be released at a later date. I guess they have nothing. Prove me wrong. They just see that every other manufacturer is switching.
Contrast that with Cirrus: The entire product line is now manufactured with Perspective+ already. And they are in production: I flew the SR22T model year 2017 two weeks ago.
